Welcoming The Seasons On The Front Door
With each season change, the look of the front door evolves. Dressing up the door with a pretty wreath or decorative hanging is a tradition my mother started and I have happily joined. Walking up to a door with a cheerful wreath is friendly and welcoming, which I enjoy and a feeling I want to pass along to my guests.
For spring a wreath of pretty pink and white French tulips hangs at the entranceway. It is a lovely change from all the snow and dreariness left behind after a tough winter. In the summer a lavender wreath dresses the door. To capture the essence of the autumn harvest, a wispy wreath of firethorn branches livens up the entranceway as the season turns. As featured in Winter Critters Holiday Porch Décor a warm white felt wreath is hung on the door with a more elaborate surrounding theme on the porch. Finally, a special Valentine’s themed hanging with the notes Live well, Laugh often, Love much adorns the door in the month of February.
This post has been in development for the last year as each season photographs of the door and its trimmings have been taken. Looking forward to welcoming the seasons ahead (especially the warm and sunny ones!).
