A Stroll Through Charleston, South Carolina
A family wedding brought us to Charleston, South Carolina. It was a whirlwind of a weekend, to say the least. Between the wedding festivities, we took a leisurely walk with cameras to capture some details of the oldest city in the state.
Charleston, SC has a rich history and well-preserved architecture to enjoy. Eye catching windows and doors, pretty millwork, and detailed ironwork are found in the charming 18th century homes and buildings. The cobbled streets and the gas-lit alleys of the French Quarter emanate a romantic vibe. Many church steeples are scattered among the buildings in Charleston’s cityscape. Along Market Street, open-aired buildings of the Charleston City Market underline the historic feel.
Also known for its art, music, and local cuisine, some consider the city as the cultural capital of the South. What an incredibly fun time spent in this Southern hotspot! Wandering through the downtown area and celebrating the picturesque nuptials in Charleston, SC was a treat.
