Happy Holidays! This is a special holiday two-part post showing the dining room today and the living room tomorrow in the post Simple and Fresh Holiday Living Room!

The sentiment behind this year’s home holiday look is simple and fresh. With a new baby niece to celebrate with and travel plans, elaborate decorations were not the right fit this year. The holiday décor is focused around fresh florals and greenery with some delicate and airy twinkle lights with copper strands. A showy floral arrangement with pine branch accents for a seasonal touch was a surprise gift that works perfectly with the theme. This arrangement was placed on the centre of the table on a red and white striped linen runner. A Christmas cactus is placed on the sideboard to coordinate along with some tea lights and twinkle lights. A special highlight in the room is the collection of my grandmother’s Poinsettia holiday dishes displayed on the shelf. We’ve already enjoyed some tasty meals using these this season and they bring back good family memories. Finally, I’m loving the white slipcovers on my dining chairs that I designed in November. The covers have pretty detailing and help to create a serene backdrop for the Christmas scheme.
