Charming Architectural Details and Colour Palette of Old Québec
Even on a grey day, Old Québec is vibrant, colourful, and simply full of life! The heart of the city is made up of cheerful heritage homes and buildings dating as far back as the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. We visited the historic district of Old Québec at the end of the summer; a lovely season for a long walk down the old cobblestone streets. It is a time when all of the beautiful window boxes and potted flowers are at their best, overflowing with bright blooms and lush greenery. The embellishments and trimmings of the well-preserved architecture created non-stop picturesque charm. We spent hours admiring the cute architectural details found within and around this fortified colonial city. I was exploring the area the first time and there were beautiful surprises around every corner we wandered! It looked and felt like a storybook and it was easy to get caught up in the romance of it all.
I always wonder what my life would be like in French.
