A Table Set With Love ~ Part One
Although it is fun to celebrate Valentine’s Day dining out, this year staying in for a low-key quiet dining experience is even more appealing. This weekend is the perfect excuse to dress up the dining table with an extra element of special (that is, if you need an excuse!). This is the first of a special two-part post featuring a table set with love, two ways. The second look adds warmer shades of reds, corals and peaches and references the classic heart motif in A Table Set With Love ~ Part Two.
For the colour scheme, inspiration is taken from the charcoal and floral patterned cloth napkins and floral printed paper coasters. Roses are so typical of the holiday, so a blend of different types of daisies and wild flowers in shades of pinks, mauves, and yellow is unexpected. With these blooms, the rest of the palette is kept to a chic warm white including the other table linens and dishes. Crystal clear glass is also present in the dinner plate chargers, glassware and vase. For a romantic touch, a collection of candles is lit on the both the dining and side table.
My favourite part of this table set with love: A love note with a sentimental message in lieu of a place card, centred on each plate. Whether you’re dining with your special someone, with family or with friends this little Valentine’s Day touch is sure to set the mood! Lastly, the plan is to hide these gold folded notes in various shades of pink around the home with messages of sweet nothings. This is a pretty way to continue with the unexpected and to make the fun last whole the weekend!
